I am now 20, and I know it.

20? *Sigh

Made up from a friendship :)

What’s up 20? Couldn’t believe my eyes that I turn 20 today. Couldn’t resist mourning over the end of teenage years. Teenage year is over and I really missed its sweetness and juice. I hope I have made the most of it. I am now a year older. 20 is just another number in my life, but I will always stay young, spry, and nimble at heart. Forever 16, to say in the first place.

Ages keep increasing without me realising how fast it slinks by. Today I embark on another phase of my life that I hope I could undergo it well and that is the thing I could pray for. A young adult is now I have become.

What 20 holds for me? Let’s see...Nothing much that I hope for and only a pray to Him to ascend his blessing and guide so that I will not go astray. I pray that I could succeed in everything that I do and plan to do; I pray that He gives me strength to endure this life for many more years to come; I pray hard that He would bellow upon me, my family and my friends his sustenance.  Also, I hope I could edify myself and work hard on it so that I could be a better muslim than before.

Good friends are hard to come by, but when they do, they really rock your world and life.  I guess they already enter my life. You know, with friends, you double and triple the joy. With friends also, you divide and deviate the sorrow. And yeah, you will never walk alone. Thank you is all I give to you guys (Hazwan, Mira, Teha, Faiz, Aiman, Jay, Zaki, Wira, Afif, Faris, Rizal and etc) *hugs n kisses. You guys are just good at getting me into your prank. I fully appreciate what you guys have done. Sorry if I make you guys disbanded your task just for me. Just so sweet!I don't mind drenched with flour and eggs as long as it would please you guys and we all have an immense thrill of fun.

I love to think that 20 gives you the ticket to get married. Ha-ha. But first, I want to love myself and my family before I let my heart and soul giving a space for someone to enter. I just give up giving love recently. Perhaps, real love does not exist now. Maybe, it will appear in the future when I am all ready. I like to think of what happens in the past as another chapter of my life that I have finished written and documented. I just have a future to work on.

The More The Merrier

Last night was spent outside the campus. It was my first experience ever. Just so you know, I am not a nocturnal kind of person. I didn’t enamour the idea of savouring late night at the outside. But, last night was a new record which I went against the normal of me. I was so reluctant in the first place because I would have an academic writing seminar the next morning that really needed my focus and concentration. Couldn’t help myself but think of going off to bed early. However, the idea of savouring the late night popped out when my friends and I had nothing better to do. I refused as usual.

Guilt strikes me then. By force, I joined them as I had been refusing their invitation before. It turned out to be that it was awesome. Never in my life had I thought that I would simply forsake my long sleep for a night of never-ending-fun. We went to the seaside and spent most of the time talking, eating, and playing cards. The fun didn’t end there as we drove ourselves to the karaoke cube, and tried our voice. Luckily, I didn’t end up my night suffering hearing impaired. So close to be Ella, yet so far as we had heard well. Night was still young and spry and nimble before we knew it was already late. After all, we really had an immense thrill of fun, and intense pressure of elation. :D

We reached the campus around 5 a.m. I slept for two hours to regain some energy before I woke up at seven and preparing myself for the seminar. The seminar was not all dimmed and sombre though I sometimes find a hard time to swallow what the lecturers were saying as I couldn’t resist myself from yawning and drowsy eyes. Find it hard to stay awake all the way. Yet, I obtained some important information for my future action research and academic writing.

Journey to The Top of AS Tower; The TESLian Traveller

Right after the seminar, my friends and I went out AGAIN to AS (Aloq Staq) to iron out some business. Alhamdulillah is all we could pronounce as we managed to get it done. We, then stroll around the Star Parade. Having said this, I get myself some books to occupy my leisure time with reading. Just turn head over heels on reading and travelling. Get our stomachs stuffed fat at the McDonald. Have been craving for it since. Not to forget, we managed to conquer and conquest the AS tower for the very first time. Enjoying the pristine view was undoubtedly the thing we did.

An astronomy in the making. Stop half way when he realized he was so into teaching thingy.

Like little kids being so keyed up stumbling upon new things. Too much curiosity. HA-HA

Bird eyes view of AS

The rough wind ruthlessly shoved my hair.
New Collection. Reading brings you into another dimension.

These two days have been so wonderful for me. I just couldn’t ask for more, and couldn’t be any grateful to have friends like them. They simply “rock” and “roll” our friendship, and titanic couldn’t even sink and bury our friendship. Now I understood why God gave me pain before this because He simply bellowed upon me happiness right after. There must be a reason why things happened. Thank you Allah.

Heartache

Should have known that befriending with that particular person is such a deteriorating labyrinth. But then, I have no regret. Seriously. At least, I come to know that there is such a person on this earth, and I know your true colours which is the best part of it all. The experience we have had teaches me not to simply trust people just because they are nice with you. I start to think to reconsider our relationship and what comes to my mind is ignorance is the best weapon. Surely, you’re an unknown homophobe. Whatever.  I am not perfect, but I am not fake.

Take note. Some of them only.

I was so stressed out yesterday that I was lackadaisical to talk to anybody. All the stress must have come from that particular person. Though I knew the fact that I should have not put all the blame and fault on her, stress still ran through my vein every time I put a thought about what was happening yesterday. Cut the crap! Yesterday, I went to cross-country practice in the evening, and apparently at night I had my literature lecture which I was scared to death beforehand due to my unfinished slides. Alhamdulillah was all I could say when I managed to finish it at the very last seconds. Too much exaggeration. See yourself how fatigue I was. Says who becoming teacher is a child’s play?

Men are also good at shopping, we just don't brag like women do. :D

The cross-country was fun, I guessed. I just knew that the scenery behind our campus was superb and simply breathtaking. I was so lucky because it so happened that our cross-country (my best buddy, MS and I) practice was on the same day. We walked instead of running, and we were so carefree and laughing our hearts out all the way before we came to realize that we were the second last among the guys. The giddy part of it all was our brisk walk was fumbled and obstructed by the presence of dogs that forced us to stop running and could not help but to get some help. It was way horrifying and distraught when the only thing the dog did was giving us a sharp stare that could be translated as I was darn hungry and could eat you both at once. Merciful heaven, then there came our DPLI junior to become our superman. Thanks heaps!

Behind our campus >.< and I simply tell lie.

So to chill ourselves, we went out today. I have no doubt that shopping is the best remedy ever to reduce stress. I reward myself a bag. Have no idea how many bags I have so far and could not stop thinking where to put the rest of them. We went to have secret recipe as we have been craving for it like forever. Could help but to praise myself because I manage to get over my adversity in just one day. :D

Eat while you still can

p/s: Thanks Shukri for saving our day and presentation before I knew I have just scrapped it. Thanks my best buddy, MS and Aiman for simply getting my back and listening to my every whine and stupid outburst. Thanks my dearest mum for being there to listen to me when I need you; Your voice simply soothes away the pain and pressure, and I have now gained my composure.

Top Secret

Arevah! How come there is no recent post being written up? I have no exact answer to give. All I can say is idleness hits me and my writing vigour simply stops generating ideas. Lame excuse, I know.

So, how was your long weekend? Mine is not so great. You see, spending your wee time at the campus is just darn boring. Whatever it is, I do go to some places with my cliques to chill ourselves and let off our steams and stress.

What I want to share with you today is something that will happen in the near future. Amin. You know, my friends and I have been planning this for like a year. Always, money thingy curbs us from making this a reality. However, this is not a big problem anymore. With what we have at the moment, I guess we will make it through. The main point is my clan and I plan to go for a backpacking holiday or retreat at the end of this year. Pray for us. Amin.

You may be asking yourselves where we are going. Well, as you follow up this blog, you will know where we are heading to. Stay tuned, chillun!

CNY

Here we go again. At this very moment, my soul has already gone home leaving my physics here at the campus. You see, when all the mess messes up your life, it's no doubt you should take a break. See you in a week!

When I open my eyes tomorrow morning, I will be seeing my parents and hometown.

How I cope

It feels awkward to get my fingers adjusted to the nature of keyboard. It has been quite sometimes haven’t I hit the keyboard to blog. Abandoning my blog is always my forte. I have a good time of my holiday. So many good things happened to me that I never let it slipped through my fingers.

What’s up anyway? Farewell is finally bidden to 2011 and I warmly welcome 2012 to my life. In essence, 2011 brought me into countless ups and downs and to know myself better. Well, I am now pretty sure of what I have been looking for in my life and that is going to be the divine spirit to keep myself motivated in pursuing and chasing my dreams. I am looking forward what 2012 has for me.

Spending my time in KL

Sending off my cousin to York, UK. I'll keep your advice.

Spending time with family is no match to other things. Have a whale of time!

2012 marks the year of me becoming an undergraduate freshman in my first year of Bachelor of Teaching (TESL). I have been looking forward for this thing ever since I was doing my preparatory years. Getting myself adapted to the degree is pretty challenging. Things are getting harder and most important; I must double or maybe tripled my effort to make sure I keep myself up with my studies. As a beginning of the year, I love how the life of freshman is like and how the atmosphere of my study is changing gradually.

That’s all for now. Have a lovely weekend!

Overfeeling

After that momentary lapse of judgment, I waited for an answer. Then, I wondered. Those moments of pure and unadulterated joy...they were never meant to be anything but fleeting, were they? Then when the next one comes along, it seems that much sweeter.

And when time just saunters by, when everything seems black and austere, it toughens you up. Life isn't full of sunshine, ponies and rainbows. It's rough. I believe that every bitter experience leaves a mark on a person. The longer the moment, the deeper the cut.

I used to be that some people who think there's a place where we go after we die. I'd love to believe so. I'd love to die hoping that we can meet again some other place, some other time, where you will forgive me and we will embrace and live happily together. I want so desperately to believe it. But I know that what awaits me is nothing more, and nothing less, than oblivion.

At the end of the day, I'm going to have a scarred soul to show for it. A soul that represents lessons learned and a life fully lived. Now, I appreciate life more than ever. I find beauty everyday, because of what I've been through. I see the sun, the trees- even the haze - and I'm just glad that I'm here to experience it.

Time heals all wounds, right? But it also causes them.

Dear Peeps.

We may not be the best and smart like the others, but we did try our best, didn't we? No matter how good and bad our results are, God gives us what we deserve. Let this valuable lesson teach us not to take thing for granted. Let's double and triple our effort! Remember, we all can do the best we can. We are good no matter what people say. We don't die with their saying. They will do whatever it takes to bring us down and we should never feel threatened by what they do. Let's show them what we got! We know ourselves the best.

Give thanks to Allah.

I made it!

All the hardwork and effort are paid off. It is enough to make me smile for the rest of the week, I guess. I managed to place myself on the second place this time. I made into the top ten again. Though my pointer mislead this time from what I had targeted, I thanked him enough for this sustenance. I know I could do better next time.

p/s: Yes, we all get through this time.

Proof

Hi there. I'm still alive and kicking. Long time no story, right? Truthfully, I have no story to be told. I'm doing great though sometimes boredom hits me. On the one hand, I'm doing great, on the other hand, I'm doing nothing.

Health: Stay Fit and Invigorating

Warning! This is quite a lengthy post. If you don't feel like reading long composition, do not hesitate to log out from this page or simply ignore this post. :D
Keeping yourself healthy is not an easy task. I have no doubt that health is one of the pivotal elements of the fundamentals of living. But as we grow up, often, most of us neglect our health from day to day. At the end of the day, we will suffer from various ailments that have no cure. Always, lack of time, work load, and life commitment are the reasons that shirk us away from giving ourselves a breather to do something beneficial for our health. Simply, we are always told what to do to stay healthy, but little did we know how to do it. Coming to this notion, what should we do to keep ourselves healthy?

We must come to a realisation that one of the ways to stay healthy is to stay fit. The word fit itself explains the whole thing about fitness. We must take care of our fitness. Yet, it comes to the question of what we should do to stay healthy. When talking about staying fit, it has something to do about our exercise regularity. Second, we must get ourselves involved in sports. We should not exert ourselves to do difficult and hard activities like weightlifting or playing rugby, only a brisk walk around the park will do to stay fit. In return, it makes our body and our heart stronger whilst helping us to reduce our stress. Plus, an interesting fact to highlight here is that when we exercise, our body produces chemicals that make us feel happy. Is not this what we want? As a result, we can avoid such diseases like heart diseases and obesity which are the main “killer” among Malaysians.

Ever wondered how does what you eat affect your life? As the saying goes, you are what you eat. Yes. Our foods determine our level of health. If we eat something nutritious and good-for-us, it will benefit our health a lot. However, the story will be totally different if we eat unhealthy food. Now we should know that eating right is one of the steps to stay healthy. To eat right is to consume healthy food like vegetables, fruits, and carbohydrates. Another thing is to have a balanced diet in the intake of our foods, such as more vegetables than meat. Henceforth, eating healthily will give our body the nutrients to have energy, stay healthy, and fight disease. It helps to keep us at a desirable weight so that we do not have to undergo extreme diet to have a slim figure. Also, it makes us feel good that we pride ourselves of our healthy body and how we look.

Overwhelmed by the fact that stress gives a bad impact on our health, we need to manage our stress to stay healthy. When we are under stress, our mind become haywire and everything we do is not right in our eyes. It makes us feel down and we get gloomy. The point is, stress is really damaging for our health. It leads to depression and in serious aftermath, it can cause suicide case. See how deleterious the stress can be for us. Upon saying this, we should question ourselves how we fight the stress when it runs our life. To manage our stress is to find ways to relax and do something we enjoy. Remember, we have to live our lives in a way that we do things that we love and venture life from other perspectives. The relief of talking to your family and friends about your problems and conflicts can also be a way to reduce stress. For this reason, it makes us feel happy, happier and most importantly; it makes us healthier as result of free from stress.

Much has been said about this, but still we lack health-awareness in our daily life. Just remember- if we do not start to stay healthy now, then we should not dream to live long, a fact that depends on our fate. At the very least, prevention is better than cure. We should not wait to realise the importance of staying healthy when we are already on our deathbed. Forget what people want to say, you determine your life and how you want it to be. If you want to have a healthy well-being, the choices are in your hands.

Padang Besar Retreat

Hi there! I am counting hours to return home. Feeling of excited, boredom, and sadness hit me at once like I am going to leave Malaysia soon which is so not true. Ha-ha. Truth be told, I am not really interested in telling y’all how I feel and what I feel about finishing my foundation years- I really hope that this preparatory years would make me assertive enough to strive in my future undertaking. Back to my main crux, yesterday, I went out again with my fellow TESLians to Big Field (Padang Besar) which was 30 minutes from my campus. There were five of us. We really had a moment together. And yesterday retreat was indeed an epic and phenomenal. Mind you, we shopped till we drop (Screw that). Enough talking, I was dismayed hitting the keyboard because I had enough with writing these few weeks that I had a serious case with my grammar allegation. Ha-ha. So darn tired today as I had been busy clearing up my room as I am leaving tomorrow afternoon. Let’s stop here and enjoice the pictures of mine.

We were so engrossed with the ostrich. Honestly speaking, this was the first time all of us seeing ostrich. You know, Perlis also has ostrich like South Africa. Correct me if I am wrong.

New Zealand-like place = Chuping. The lord of the ring played here...I totally lied.

One of the goodies I bought. Ignore the background.
