Giving

I discover that it is truly in giving that we receive...and the joy and abundance I seek grows out of the giving. Whatever you get in return, nothing could beat the pure bliss you attained when giving.

Such a great feeling that is to help someone undergoing his/her dark time. Helping others doesn't cost much. A great combination of sincere heart and helping hands would do the trick.

Have it in mind that whatever things we have now is ephemeral - merely a rent from Him. Why not take the step to play your part in sharing and giving out whatever you can to those in dire need? Never too late to realize and recognize the importance of creating and contributing rather than obtaining and  accumulating.

Thanks heaps Mdm. Kris. Wishing you the best in your master thesis writing and defense. Can't wait to have you back in harness.

And I give thanks for the simple things I have been blessed with.

Alhamdulillah

# here comes the assignments without being welcomed. they are, as always the pain in the arse, really. what's to say...without them life as a student wouldn't be meaningful and complete - a complete lack of allure to hit the books or etc. plus, isn't the primary and core duty of a student coming here to learn instead of getting laid, fooling around or hitting the sack?

# tired listening to negative people around me who couldn't be anymore positive about this life whining incessantly about what a better life would be if this...that...and etc. come on...grow up! there must be something good about it...or you just don't want to see it neither accept the fact, not that i have anything or vengeance against this people.

# thankful enough...there is a good news about our allowance - the only stipend that all of us depend on to survive till the end of every semester or the only grease that makes anything we plan smoother. will be in sooner, in sha Allah. suffice it to say, everyone is keyed up and looking very most forward to it. wallet is getting thinner and current financial account is in insurgency state.

# stay golden folks!

Brisk

Time has always been my greatest enemy, a mocking spectator, a laughing peasant, a fleeting shadow. Almost everywhere I go, Time would chuckle at my back, taking delight in my misfortune.

Time comes in many forms: the ticking needle of a clock, the persistent rings of the school bell, the shrill calls of disaster, or the door slamming in my face.

In my ignorance, I used to wish that Time would hurry by, for I had grown weary of catching up with Time.

Past is the past. Get over it and moving on. It doesn't matter how slowly you go.

So long as you do not stop, chin up!

Sensitive Sunday

I just love reading. Not merely love, but in love with it. Turning head over heels on it, there I say it. I read books with the curiosity of a reader. I want to know what happens next. I want to explore and indulge in the character and the conflict. I love the thrill of reading and also the warm feeling I get when reading a good book. Having a book in my hands fills me with happiness and elation I cannot describe.

I, too enamor the smell of books which leaves me breathless. Don't you feel the same? My heart beams with joy when I am in a good book store like a kid in a candy store. Can't just take my eyes off everything. Enough with reading. I think I say too much about my covet towards reading. Lame.

When you read, you gain. A simple concept, indeed. This one book that I reread over and over again opens up my mind. I stumble upon this titillating thing when reading an essay, a story to be exact about time - Things to Stay Away From Unless You Want to be Stupid and Die Early. Bam! What an eye-opener. The title itself just elucidates everything. :D

Unless you want to be an imbecile, you may infringe the list. He-he

Thoughtful Thursday

Why not globetrotter when you still have the strength and chance?

Ever wonder how far have we walked on this earth?
Ever count the steps we have undertaken?
Ever come to our common sense and realization if this road was the journey we have always wanted to roam?
Ever think the journey we embark on will bring us to the thing we always fear with the most?
Ever overanalyse how much our presence has impacted the things around us?
Ever comprehend why we keep on walking when in fact at some point of this odyssey, we realize that turning back is as hard as moving on?
Ever question why some people who used to stay by our sides taking this journey together stumble in the middle of this voyage?
...

*would like to wish a friend of mine who is so dear to me...close and best friend indeed. great knowing you since, dude. Happy Birthday. May you have a wonderful life ahead, full of happiness and his blessing.

Why Me?

If people ever thought choosing me to be their leader was a great decision, perhaps they are waiting for an Armageddon to happen. This happens to me recently. As much as I want to refuse the offer, I must consider the trust that has been put on my shoulders and the kindness of my mentor who is willing to fork out some money to pay the advanced payment for the nomination, an investment for me to be elected (No way!). Guilt taunts me if I did not answer the call.

Couldn’t help myself but to curse under my nose the moment I know this thing (not by any means cussing anyone here). I mean, do you not have anyone more capable and eligible to do this thing? Ha-ha. I try so hard to find the x-factors in me that they decide to put up my name. But to no avail, I found none. The bottom line is what do I know about leadership? What does this whole election thing mean? Is my leadership skill good enough? Truthfully, the fact is my leadership skill is nothing to be proud of. My experience in leading people is mediocre and hardly makes it into the resume.

I am not fancy the idea of being the spotlight and centre of attraction. I used to enamour those idea back then in high school…but now I just hate it and it seems to be the cheapskate way to gain popularity. Ever since I study here, I love staying out of the radar, being anonymous, unknown and mysterious to the opposite or same gender. If google earth is a girl, she couldn’t find me if I dressed up as a ten-storey building, I think I aggrandize too much. Yeah, not privy to any adolescent drama and scenes happen around. Couldn’t care less about anything if it did not involve me.

The whole class knows that I am in a mess which means unorganized, coming to class looking haggard. Do not even possess a strong personality of a leader. Just because I am a bit of a chattering box doesn't mean I am good at leading…if that is the pointer, perhaps you could choose the entire campus because everyone love talking. Do they not? If they ever thought I could stand up for their right and say on their behalf, perhaps they should have gone to sleep and keep dreaming. I can’t. I would make a bad leader, trust me.

Another thing is my parents used to pester me about being too active in curricular activities that I easily get distracted from my core business, study. I salvage a lot to be and stay here. Staying in the system is not anyway a walk in the park. It comes with a price hence you need to pay to get the best of this world. With that in mind, I forsake most of the things I love to do back then during high school years. I quit debating since. I quit joining extra curricular activities just because I want to focus on my study and excel in this course. See yourself, how pathetic I am. So I won’t let that happen again here.

After all, I don’t think I would ever stack up against other nominees. Ha-ha. My chance to be selected is slim and microscopic. Don’t even put a hope to get through the final list. Let alone the big brash braggarts make their ways to the podium. To reiterate, whether I kill or blow it, it doesn’t matter. I’m just going to give a shot for the sake of the trust being put on me. Don’t ever vote for me…or else you will have a nightmare, really.

Love cloud. Nice, isn't it?

*have yet to figure out the manifesto. Haiz...

Untitled

2012, done! Told you the Mayans were dead wrong about the apocalypse and judgment day. Guess we should have a string quartet to entertain us with a song to celebrate the opportunity to live for another year. Ha-ha. Let alone their prediction.

As another year draws upon us…it gets us closer to the end of this world that’s yet to be known and specifically death. Face it…death is getting closer as we age and it is so dear and close to us that we don’t even realize its existence. None of us can avoid death, in fact. So live your life to the fullest while you can and of course following the order from Him…obeying His every command.

Positive. Setiap KESABARAN akan digantikan dengan KEMENANGAN.
The road of 2013 is long way to go, still. There are countless twists and turns yet to be undertaken. For the very beginning, everything is a smooth sailing. Alhamdulillah. Enroll myself in the second year of degree which means I’m now getting closer to be a real English Language Teacher. I still have doubt if I would ever make a good teacher. Well…let’s us pray that the zestful passion shrouds my teaching soul very soon. Ameen.

There are few resolutions that I have in my mind. Let me keep it to myself what they are. Hope I would have much time, commitment, money and energy to make it up to all of them. In sha Allah. Also have to foresee what 2013 has to offer for me. However, the best part ever is I wonder where will 2013 take me to? *grinning

Good day everyone!

2012 Highligths

Just few hours away separate us from 2013. How fast times saunter by, huh? Ha-ha. Alhamdulillah…2012 has been a jolly good year for me. Well said, I’m done for another year.

2012? A year of never-ending joy and unadultered moments. A year of self-discovery. A year of tremendous emotional inertia. A year of pre-adulthood phase. A year of edifying oneself. And the list just goes on and on.

I have myriad plans circling in the back of my mind when I have my both legs early in the year. I want to do this. Wait, I want to do that. Hold on, I’m dying to do those things and so on. Some plans happen to be a raging success. Some are just not. Let’s just say my lucky star is not with me. Fret not, even if I failed to achieve them, I know there must be something good in store for me that He, the almighty, keeps it surreptitious from my conscience. In sha Allah…I really hope He still gives me the chance to taste the sweet and sour of 2013 so that I could do things that I failed to achieve back in 2012 all over again.

Anyway…let’s see what are the big events predominantly happening to me throughout the year of 2012.

1# 20 years old

Who is in the right mind doesn’t enamour the life of being a teenager? The exact moment when you have your youthful vigor pumping strenuously. The years when you have your hormones excreting uncontrollably. The time when you can have crushes here and there. The period when you experience your first love ever. How blissful those years are. But those were the days where anything you do is considered cute and acceptable, you do not have to face financial issue, you do not have to mess up your mind thinking what I should do to make sure I am on the right track, what if I start dating and bla…bla…bla.

Although It’s pretty much of a saddening moment when I finally have to kiss goodbye to 19 age when the clock hits 12 a.m. way back in the mid of March, I am glad I finally make this far. By that I mean I have lived on this earth for 20 years, borrowing the air from Him to breathe, health from Him to be able to carry out duties to Him and mind from Him to think what is good and what is wrong. At last, age matures me, but I’m not nearly as smart and matured as I think I am. Young, nimble and spry still. LOL

About my current status…I have long been single, swore never again to go coupling because I come to realize that it’s not the right way to find the right other half. Seriously, I am in no mood to have a serious relationship. The relationship that I have now with my studies (what a joke!) is already pretty cumbersome to be handled, what more of taking care a girl. Would that not mean a total eclipse of the sun? Absolutely.

So please do not be bothered to ask me on date or getting-know-each-other-better. I am apathetic to those things. I just want to pray and waiting for my Cinderella to drop her glass shoes which is just another perpetuating dreaming cloud (stop dreaming!). But that does not mean we can’t be friends. I love making bonds, especially friendship. It widens your cliques and social circle. However, talking about hitting this number of 20 makes feel a bit older when everyone as of my age starts walking down the aisle. The best solution is to tell myself it is just not your turn yet…I just have lots of things to achieve before settling down for good.

2# A first year student of BEd TESL

Teach till you drop

For god sake, I doubt myself when I first enter the preparatory program way back in 2010. I actually struggle to adjust myself to the so-called new environment of a teacher trainee at a teacher training college from the atmosphere that I have used to at UiTM Kuantan where they have these fantabulous facilities for students where I enroll myself in TESL foundation program. Among the negativities that I have in me are will I be able to stay until the end? Why must I be at this godforsaken place (no judgment)? What is wrong with the system? Why people dislike us (teslian)? And the questions keep mounting up itself.

Yet…here I am writing this as a coming second year student of BEd TESL. How elated I am when I know I pass the final exam of foundation years which holds the key to the lock of degree-years gate. Although my first year of degree starts off pretty well that I really think there is nothing could stop my way…little did I know thing turns out to be such a terrible catastrophe last semester and I personally feel the tremor. Though I didn’t ever hope for it to happen, it just happens and I accept it wholeheartedly. There must be a reason, right? You know, people who want to bring you down never take a day off to pull you downward the spiral. What a life! Screw them all…haven’t you heard I already did. And now great, I have to double or maybe triple my effort to make it up to the grade that I lose which teaches me something, not to take things for granted.

3# Travel

It is just so hard not to fall apart whenever I try recounting the moments we have shared throughout the journey. The moments we have had are real, authentic and unadultered joy. We laugh. We joke. We smile. Ecstatic. It’s the first time ever I travel with my own money that I save up from the beginning of semester, with my own accord, with just friends (no mums and dads). I just have no idea when and where the idea of travelling first pops out. But it’s indeed splendid. You know the undecipherable feeling when you finally get what you always want, you feel like doing several backflips to release this fleeting feeling or punching your fist into the air just because you know you finally did it! We have witnessed to each other, undertaking countless ups and downs, twists and turns just to make sure we could make it till the very end. (Kota Kinabalu, 2012)

us
To recapitulate…I have no exact resolutions for the coming year of 2013. I just hope 2013 will be a fantastic year for me to improve myself, a year of so full of blessing and happiness. Let’s see what 2013 has to offer for me. May you have a wonderful life ahead too!

Who would you believe?

It is my obnoxious way of saying that lies travel fast and boy did my terminological inexactitude accelerate with velocity. Worry not...this isn't one of those Disney channel tales where every story has a happy ending or a hot buzz featuring on the front cover of Time magazine.

You know, it hurts so much when someone you care about does such a thing to you or in exact, say something bad about you behind your back. Backstabbed much? Indeed. What saddens me most is that people simply believe what that particular person says. Truthfully, there have been two sides to this story. Yet people just digest what is being told to them without asking me, what is the gossip churning about these days. No matter how hard I try explaining the real predicament...words seem to fall on the floor and no one gives a fudge to know the truth. Sadly to just live with the guilt and bury their noses into the thin air of false account of my indecency. It's first a little low on grist but then it spreads like wildfire which makes me concerned how this news circulates around.

Though I try so hard with all my might to stay strong, I am torn. Needless to say, broken beyond repair. Never in my life had I thought there is such derogatory person on this world. How grateful I am if I could curb myself from mingling around this type of person. S/he is poisonous. Every word s/he says is a venom coming out from the jaws of a snake. Hate it when this involves eldest. Sometimes eldest are privy to idle adolescent dramas and gossips. However, their involvement just makes matter even worst! Partly because they live in different time frame where a simple solution could man up a problem. But this is now, it's really happening.

Facing the reality and rival is as hard as chewing and churning the truth that is banging out to escape from a closet inside. What actually happens to our chivalry? Does it only happen in a movie? How sweet and delightful it is if I have enough courage to get me the heck out of this cauldron. Chin and head up...come on...treat this as another phase of sailing this grown-up sea. Just hope one fine day the truth will be revealed and unfolded itself. Real man will win after all, huh? Tsk.

#maybe that someone should have been more careful and vigilant when saying something in the water closet.

Faith

:)

There's yet another need for religion which is created by man's life, hopes and pains. It's man's need for a mighty and unfailing supporter at times of hardship and crisis. When a person loses something or someone he loves, fails to achieve something, or is stricken by misfortune, it is the religion faiths, which can give him support, strength, hope, condolence and patience.

The belief that Allah is just, merciful and fair gives man psychological peace and spiritual strength which breathe into him buoyancy of spirit, optimism and the ability to view the universe from a wider and brighter perspective. This was he can endure his pain and see them as part of this short mortal life. Philosophy, science, money, children and the possession of the entire world would fail to provide man with the peace, hope and solace that his religious faith can provide.

Therefore, a man who lives without faith to fall back on in times of adversity lives with inner turmoil, distracted and pull in every direction. Have faith in Him, the most gracious and merciful. To Him we share our happiness, gratitude and sadness - to seek for forgiveness, help and refuge. Just so we are clear everything happens for a reason and that must be the best for us.

HIKMAH

Alhamdulillah.

All praises to be upon him.

I manage to sail by last semester without any major hiccup or stormy seas. Let me just keep it to myself how much I score yet just enough to let me savor and secure next semester.

I am contented when in fact this semester grade drops so badly. Drop myself out from the top students list is so not okay – the legacy that I work so hard to retain. What a colossal shame! For once, a total loser and bimbo I feel, hoisting a white flag.

Being me, as resentment rests heavily in my chest, I struggle to navigate myself through this shudder inducing reality. However such an ungrateful of me if I put what he has bellowed upon me in vain.

As much as I want to frown upon this losing, I must remember how many of my friends who are unlucky enough to get by last semester. I must realize that He still loves me for that He lets me passed this semester. The biggest lesson of a lifetime have I learnt – being at the bottom.

Couldn't be any true. :')

How wonderful God’s plan is. If this doesn’t happen, I would not stand a chance to feel the ambience of being at the bottom. I may have been too long gasping the air at mountain top, now is time to go down deep into the bottom of the sea to see what it has to offer. I cannot always get to win. I also need to learn how to lose to stay balance. Just so great I get to taste the best of both worlds.

Much to my surprise, it makes me even stronger than I have ever thought. Who is in the right mind would not be sad. I too feel ashamed. To not let my emotions overwhelm my body which could result in deleterious event of crying, I gather up enough courage to etch a smile on my lips and make some silly jokes to say that I’m doing great and fine – that’s how I roll. I must be strong and stayed golden for everyone.

Teaching me to swallow my own pride is the most valuable lesson I attain. I may have been too complacent all this while – simply take things for granted without having the conscience that it isn't immortal. Now I learn my lesson and it is time to get things right. Looks like someone is on the downward spiral. Telling myself to stay calm seems to be difficult. However, I am just positive that you now have got work all out to be there once again and it boosts my spirit.

Fall once doesn't mean losing forever. Just as long as you know the exit strategy and have the gut to climb up the stairs again, and embark on a new journey. May He make me strong and patient to endure this test.

Oh Allah...I thank you.

Time to get over it and move on.

Keep Calm

I loathe myself for letting negative feeling and thoughts evade my mind. Those deteriorating elements enervate my spirit and enthusiasm to keep my head held high for days ahead. At this moment, all I need is word of wisdom or someone murmurs into my elfin ears, "No worries, you have done your best. Let Allah do the rest." to look forward for a brighter future.

Yeah...sometimes I neglect the importance of praying and the significance of du'a - the biggest and potent weapons that a Muslim man has. An intangible bond that never has an end, but few really utilizes its incomparable power. There must a reason why he gives his servant this. not that. A hikmah. You get what you give and He will always bellow upon you what is the best for you, in sha Allah.

I just hope what is coming next would be something nice and beneficial to me that I could be brave enough to take the steps upon forging this road not taken.

Holiday mode turns on

And so I am a free and single man. I have been dumped by final exam last Sunday. What an atrocious relationship, we have! The turmoil is over. The stress that runs your life has ceased. The anxiety that exponentially escalates considering the fact that you have not covered many topics is now dwindling or perhaps vanishing. The battle is so full of rage and atrocities. The tanks and vessels that are used to be on the front line are now demobilized. What’s done cannot be undone. Let’s just hope for the best that He would give us enough courage to face the wrath of final result which is expected to be released in the end of December or around that circle. This love-hate relationship is sure going to be missed.

What have I done to occupy my free time at the campus while waiting for my departure date which is going to be on Saturday? Apart from decluttering the clutter, I go out with Faiz and two of his friends. He has long gone home but decides to come back to take his left-over things home. So he takes me out considering I am all alone here (*false). We take his friends a tour around Perlis. Instead, we go to Padang Besar.

So here begins the story. The fact is that shopping and me is inseparable. Shopping makes me alive, really. I can shop till I drop. I am on a tight budget on this shopping trip, so I decide not to shop a lot, especially shirts and garments. Being me, I couldn’t help myself but to shop shirts. I think I would just manage with one. Little did I know that I would end up with three shirts and a travelling bag. Again, cash flies away. Am now on the verge of thinking do I have enough to survive during the holiday, to be exact borneo trip. (Did I not tell you that I am going on a borneo trip with my college mates? Lame)

That would be it for this moment. Looking very most forward to Borneo Trip (Sabah). Have a lovely and wonderful holiday!

Checked-in. O'Allah...I pray that you ease our journey and keep us from harm and danger. Aaminn

Raya + Exam = Rayxam

With final exam is in few more days to go, one is supposed to work like crazy now. You see, at this time of the semester, all the attention is given to revising and studying as other than these two things seem to be less important and impractical. It is interesting fact to ponder that students can revise 4 subjects that they learn for months in one single night, from cover to cover, how amazing their brains are. That’s why there are students who manage to score very well even if they study at the very last minute.

Well...world knows that I am not that kind of students. I am not gifted enough, I think. I struggle a lot to achieve what I want. However, as the exam nears, I feel a bit worried. My brain is bombarded with numbers of perplexed confusion that I too have no finite answer. What if this…what if that…and the list goes on and on.

As of now, Alhamdulillah, I’m done revising all subjects. But heck, that does not mean I can simply chill up. I have done my part and now leave the rest to Him. May He bellow upon me what is the best for me.  Aamiin.

Anyhow, Eid Mubarak is just few hours away. Am writing this to kill time while waiting for the bus to take me home. Hey, home is not homey without me, hence I need to go home (excuse of homesickness).

Final wishes, Salam Eid Mubarak y’all. May it bring all of you blessing and happiness.

Yay!

Whats up?

Life so far couldn't be any better.

You know the feeling;

When you are finally free from any relationship with assingments?

When your hips are no longer attached to your very own table?

The sad-yet-glorious moment when u finally say good-bye to A4 papers, microsoft word, staying up late and all those coffees that keep you company just because you want to finish the last line of thousands words essay as its due is the next morning?

Heaven much?

Yes. It means world to me.

However,

When you are all set to throw yourself a party to celebrate this victory of yours, you are disheartened by the fact that you still have two more mountains to be undertaken.

Shame on me.

This happy feeling is just ephemeral.

UAK and Final Exam are yet to come.

Instead of wasting time, I must get my ass up to study and get my focus laid on the upcoming tests.

*Just a short notice to make sure that everyone knows I'm doing fine with my life, especially my study. The road gets bumpy? Indeed. When the things we plan go haywire, the depth comes in and makes my life more interesting.

Spring Sprung at the campus

Spring season is back in town.
With all blossoming flowers and lavish green leaves, and trees, everything seems to be in its right place.
Yeah, I aggrandize too much.
I am no where near Queenstown, NZ or Pasadena, USA.
In fact, this view is taken here in Perth-lis.

Yesterday, we had a surprise party for her.
All these while, she had heard people being surprised in a party.
However, yesterday, she was "it".
This party was going to be the last meeting with her before her classes start very soon.

Catwalk much? Ha-ha
Two years ago, I thought I had it all.
Then, I met you and I realized everything else was missing.
You taught us important things that others may just forget.
You are the teacher of our lifetime.
You are unlike any other lecturer, you are a mother to us.
Who would ever imagine a lecturer could be the one place where you can lean on your shoulder and count on for help.
She's quite a woman, isn't she?

LOL

Woman of the day

The Queen and the working bees.
Thank-you is all I can say for all the knowledge and kindness that you have given to us.
Remember, there will always be a place for you in our hearts.
We are surely going to miss you very much.
May Allah ease every journey you roam.
May success, happiness and blessing are always be yours.
Pray for our success here too so that we could nail this course with flying colours.
So that we could follow your footsteps one day.

See you again!

Together Still

Us, 7 years ago. Still have this picture in check.

It takes me some times to write this without falling apart. Sometimes, things are better left unwritten or unspoken so that the sweetness of it shall not fade.

Went through speedcity with them

Little bundle of joy is I could name the last meeting of ours. We have an immense thrill of fun, especially the talking part. We keep sharing our story, just to let everyone knows that we are doing fine in our lives. We laughed like no one is around and only us there.

Ama's House

Little did I know, that pure and unadultered moment is like snow flakes in a cup. The world gets better when you guys are around. Actually, the world is better. I have no worry of becoming myself.

The three musketeers

Whenever we make joke, no one is excluded from laughing out loud. It is like confettis coming out of a pom-pom. The time just slicks by without us realizing its pace. Every second seems to be momentous to let it slips through our fingers.

Cam-retard. Ha-Ha

They are just the same person I met seven years ago. Their madness and charm never cease. However, behind all those craziness, there shines virtue and intelligence - how I admire them in a way. So long we have each other and Allah as our guide, InsyAllah we will always be on right path.

Lunch with the teechs

Recent news is Syahir done with his eyes operation.  Couldn't help but to feel sorry about his eyes problem. Now, he's recuperating well at home. InsyAllah, your eyes will be fine again one day.

Us, now. Grown up a little bit. Glad to witness all of us mature as women and men. (3 missing-in-action)

Looking forward for the next gathering that would happen in the next summer holiday which means a year to go. As for now, I pray that His blessing is always you. I pray that you succeed in every road you roam. I pray that He lets our faith stand straight so that we won't go astray.

From Italy and Japan with love. Wait for the love from Perth. Ha-ha

You will be right, you will be okay.
Allah is with you, you won't go astray.
